Flower Power at Pacha has been a mainstay in Ibiza for years. The most beautiful club In the world decks out the club weekly with colourful, funky hippy paraphernalia as everyone in attendance dresses to the max in flower attire to create a special unique party and atmosphere.
As for the music, it was classic after classic all night long. We were in the club from 3-6am and a selection of tracks we heard (and sang very loud to!) were; Millie Small – My Boy Lollipop, The Ronettes – Be My Baby, The Beatles – Love Me Do and She Loves You, Bruce Channel – Hey Baby, The Rolling Stones – (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction, The Monkees – I’m a Believer, Roy Orbison – Pretty Woman and The White Stripes – Seven Nation Army plus loads of Beach Boys tracks!
In between all of those there was a live singing Amy Winehouse tribute act, girls dancing in cages, a live drummer, a John Lennon lookalike being hoisted through the club to his track ‘Imagine’ whilst smoking and giving peace signs, an American biker bouncing through the club on a live Harley Davidson and, finally, a giant yellow submarine as the place being transformed into a sea of yellow was a sight to behold!
It was amazing to see a club used in this completely different and innovative setup, it was like taking a time warp back through the last 50 odd years of music. Throw in great décor, confetti and it was a real fiesta feel and spectacle.
