It’s 2pm on a Thursday afternoon in March (March 17th St Patrick’s Day no less!) and we’re walking down Collins Avenue in Miami. We hear the unmistakable boom of Nicole Moudaber’s beautiful techno sounds, she’s here to present her Mood DAY pool party at the Raleigh hotel.
What awaits us upon entry was brilliant music, tanned and colourfully dressed girls and guys, an outside swimming pool and a gazebo tent with a small festival set up and vibe. To set the scene; the sun is shining, we are surrounded by palm trees and blue skies. It reminds us of Space Terrace in Ibiza back in the day, or if you’re looking for a more modern correlation, then think of a smaller version of Ushuaia.

Having seen Nicole last summer at DC10 in Ibiza, we had this party highlighted as one of THE parties to attend in Miami Music Week, and it didn’t disappoint. With a line up featuring Carl Craig, Damian Lazarus, ENDO, Pan-Pot, Guti playing live, and of course, Nicole Moudaber herself as she celebrated the 100th episode of her weekly In the Mood Radio show with a live broadcast directly from the party, you can listen to the set below;

We checked out her afternoon set, it was full of lovely groovy techno tracks. Nicole played the likes of the infectious ‘Don’t Talk To Me When I’m Dancing’, Inner City’s ‘Good Life’, Rob Harnetty – ‘Again (Amos & D’Cota Remix)’ and Dale Howard – ‘After Party.’ Nicole’s set was followed by Guti playing a live set full of beautiful techno sounds. This was a brilliant daytime party, thanks Nicole!
