When I was asked by the editor of Uneek Ibiza (Andrew Darwin) if I wanted to head along to Barcelona for OFFSónar he did not have to ask me twice. We took the short plane ride from Ibiza to Barcelona for the night.
We attended the Innervisions party on day 3 (Saturday) of OFFSónar at the beautiful Poble Espanyol. We arrived around 8pm and found ourselves in the Plaza Mayor as John Talabot was playing. The uplifting sounds made us want to stay longer but we also wanted to catch Gerd Janson in el Monasterio before he finished. Unfortunately it was over capacity but we did manage to go in and see Apparat shortly after who had the packed dance floor moving.

Heading back over to the Plaza Mayor we caught the last of Kink and Frank Wiedemann live which was a musical experience in itself. The moment everyone had been waiting on was fast approaching as Dixon and the DJ part of Âme took to the decks. They kept the music up tempo as everyone moved to the music. It didn’t take them long to drop an absolute bomb of a track which is still unknown but it sure to be a floor thriller this summer! The crowd was on fire as the set got better and better. The few tracks that we did manage to Shazam includes Draud – I Can’t Believe and Rain Dance by Tunnelvisions. The music was very futuristic with new tracks that haven’t previously been played before where selected. Techno, deep house, uplifting house and acid Arabic music was the selections of the night. The atmosphere was electric and I already can not wait for next year!
