As Glitterbox’s summer in Hï starts to draw to a close, there was no anticlimaxes last night (Sept 14) as Greg Wilson, Horse-Meat Disco, David Morales and Roger Sanchez put on a masterclass.

Morales and Sanchez, the legends of house, built a mansion in the main room. It was a journey through the absolute finest classics from the last 30 years that the crowd could barely keep up with at times.

By the time Morales handed over the reins to Sanchez, the room was at fever pitch from a frantic and heavy, disco/house set.

As Sanchez tweeted afterwards “Morales ‘lit ’em up'”, all that was left was for Roger to ‘blow ’em out’ and that he did. The Release Yourself pioneer even had time for a 15 minute encore as revellers demanded one more tune.

For many, walking into Hï this summer was a nervous event given the site’s occupancy for the previous 27 years. But if this sound and light system is what we have to look forward to then we are in safe hands, especially with Glitterbox in the house.
