The artists. Sven Vath has been front and centre throughout. Closing the show every year as only he can, sometimes in driving rain sometimes with a whole bunch of people plucked up from the crowd going bonkers beside him on the massive stage. Every year there has been a brilliant cast to support these goings on.

The location. An area of outstanding beauty and a 450 year old country house that gazes down over a natural amphitheatre. At the foot of the long hill a huge stage that seems to sit in the middle of a sea of green. Trees and lush shrubbery surround the performing area. For 6 years, soon 7, the glorious Temple Newsam has been the home of Cocoon in the Park.

The gig. In this setting Cocoon in the Park was always going to be an all around music and visual experience but taken to the next level. Festival specialists Audio-Plus have from the start provided the latest Funktion-One PA giving the truly outstanding sound that has throbbed through every event. The set up is meticulously prepared for Sven and the other vinyl heroes such as Ricardo Villalobos that have so often been guests. You taste and hear the difference every year

Every year Coccon in the Park has been topped up with increasingly brilliant and cutting edge visuals and explosive pyrotechnics, all carefully designed to give the full experience wherever you stand, sit or probably dance on the festival site. And every year the full Cocoon troupe of dancers have strutted their stuff and danced along with you.

Cocoon in the Park has always been an experience, a happening in the north of England that is unique. See ya there!
