It’s a scorching hot early July afternoon in Ibiza 2015 and we were in much need of a cooling off, so we decided to check out the wonderful, clean sandy beaches and blue waters San Antonio Bay had to offer.
Firstly, we walked along track from the Bay through to the various beaches and coves. Es Puet beach is the first, here you’ll find the busiest of the beaches in the Bay, complete with Es Pueto snack bar selling lovely paella and various Spanish dishes. Next along is a quiet little beach Playa d’Estanyol, in front of Sa Flama restaurant, with loads of room to sunbathe. You can also partake in various water sporting activities here.
After walking another 5 minutes or so, we came to Playa Pinet (known as Reggae beach), a lovely beach with a good atmosphere. It’s lively, there’s a DJ playing Reggae tunes, and its colourful (its donned out with Jamaican flags). The duel in the crown of San an bay beaches. Here you can drink Jamaican cocktails, beer and rasta shots (guaranteed to give you energy!)! You cannot not be energised by the beautiful atmosphere and views here, it is a beach with so much character. On Sundays there a BBQ, and is very popular with workers and tourists alike.
Past Reggae beach is Playa Bella, which offers great views of the San Antonio coastline and buildings, before finally Punta Xinxo beach completed our tour. We definitely recommend a day out at San Antonio Bay’s beaches, they have great character, lovely blue waters and nice sand, with plenty of atmosphere.
