Zoo Project at Benimussa Park (an old disused zoo just outside San Antonio) is a popular event with British holiday makers, who come painted up as animals whilst partying to quality electronic music.
We head to Zoo Project in the 2nd week of September, and we’re impressed by its outdoors festival feel. In the Tree House (main outdoor area) Getic Funk, Binh & Evan Baggs and the Acid Mondays are laying down some driving tech beats, to a colourful backdrop.
Over in the Seal Pit (an actual pit where seals used to perform) is a DJ set up and audience, complete with animal dressed dancers and performers. Karina, Acid Mondays and Taimur & Fahad provide good tech house music through the course of the day and night.
Over in Mandala Garden you can experience a massage, tarot reading, yoga, drummers and live dancing. This is very much the hippy chillout area of the event!
This is a massively popular party based around the zoo vibe concept. A seal pit, painted up bodies, a hippy area, BBQ, swimming pool, trees and good music – spend a Saturday night at Zoo Project next time you’re in Ibiza and release your inner ROAR!
