Arriving into Barcelona on a beautiful Thursday June afternoon from London, we headed straight to Elrow House for a BBQ. We were having a great time, but were well aware that we needed to get across the city to review Knee Deep In Sound’s event. With Mark on driving duties, we managed to find a space luckily right outside the venue (very lucky in fact as it was rammed busy!). The venue for this OFFSónar event was the beautiful Carpa & Picnic area of El Poble Espanyol, which looks over the whole city of Barcelona from atop.
Prolific label and riotous party Knee Deep In Sound have boasted a swelling reputation across the globe, revered for its glittering lineups and blistering sets by boss Hot Since 82. Unfortunately Hot Since 82 had to cancel on this occasion due to a bad back, but not to worry as the rest of the line was stellar – featuring back-to-back sets from Kölsch b2b Tiga, Cassy b2b Heidi, Butch b2b Josh Wink and a performance from Cocoon’s La Fleur.
